Lead, manage and direct the Security Architecture and Controls program. Act as a the executive responsible for driving security architecture changes and driving requirements for engineering solution outcomes, needed to protect the global RGA enterprise. Oversee and facilitate the enhancement of security architecture and designs as well as overseeing the implementation of solutions for improving the overall defensive posture of the RGA enterprise globally. Communicate with and brief senior IT and business leaders regarding planned architectural changes while coordinating those changes to ensure continued business operations and resilience in the face of advanced threat actors. Lead all security technology development and deployment across physical and virtual infrastructure, endpoints, networks and applications.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and builds a senior team to develop, implement and continually enhance global security technologies and platforms to reduce risk to the RGA business.
Establishes global policies and standards; proposes changes to existing policies, standards and procedures; directs enhancements of policies, standards and procedures to ensure effective security solutions are deployed globally that meet risk tolerance and regulatory requirements.
Drives global configuration and management of security solutions to ensure operational effectiveness, efficiency and risk reduction outcomes based on existing and emerging threat and vulnerability information.
Develop and lead teams to proactively design, implement and manage security solutions at all levels and across the global enterprise, combating advanced cyber threat actors while reducing the likelihood and impact these incidents will impact security, privacy, or business operations.
Develop emerging technology solutions and configurations for detecting and combating advanced persistent threats to stay ahead of threat actors.
Enhance existing security architecture and security control capabilities through a mix of people, processes and technologies which increase capability maturity and reduce the likelihood that threat actors will circumvent RGA’s security controls and capabilities.
Build teams with necessary capabilities which can design, build and run security solutions that thwart advanced threat actors and repel them from RGA systems and platforms.
Provide expansive information security expertise in the diagnosis of control requirements shortfalls, identification of business risks, evaluation of solution alternatives and delivery of systems solutions to assist in the identification, prevention, detection, response, and eradication of threat activity within the global enterprise.
Serves as a key advisor for information security, data privacy, disaster recovery, and physical security for RGA on technology trends and associated emerging risks.
Represent GSO Security Architecture, advocating for information security, data privacy, disaster recovery, and physical security leading practices working with all other appropriate stakeholders.
Leads, manages and directs the activities of department management in all aspects of supervisory duties, including, but not limited to hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining direct reports. Fosters a positive and engaged work environment. Mentors associates and gives guidance on associate development.

EDUCATION:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional or similar (e.g. CISSP, ISC or CISM)
Preferred:
MBA or Master’s degree
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Required:
10+ years of progressive professional experience evaluating, delivering, and/or managing in a complex IT environment(s).
15+ years professional experience in information security, including 7 years working in a complex, global corporation.
3+ years experience in technology architecture and development
3+ years experience engaging with and defeating advanced threat actors
Advanced leadership skills with an ability to inspire security teams through curiosity and a passion for engaging with and stopping threat actors from exploiting organizations.
Expert ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
Advanced knowledge of Information Security technologies, markets, and vendors.
Experience as a security technology leader with implementation skills.
Advanced knowledge in the field of information systems security, including such areas as identity and access management, security architecture development, security engineering solutions, security program policies, processes and procedures and various supporting security technologies.
Highly advanced persuasion skills when working with internal and external partners to resolve issues/problems.
Exceptional ability to make timely and effective decisions and produce results through strategic planning and the implementation and evaluation of programs and policies.
Advanced project management skills. Demonstrates ability to evaluate project objectives and scope feasibility, gain understanding, schedule resources, and manage budget to plan.
Highly advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received.
Highly advanced people management skills, demonstrating an ability to lead, mentor and develop associates.
Highly advanced facilitation skills with the ability to lead virtual teams to desired outcomes and obtain buy-in from senior leadership on deliverables.
Highly advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly advanced ability to work well within and manage a team.
Ability to quickly learn and understand the business of RGA.

Compensation Range:
$175,650.00 - $261,600.00 Annual Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
