Base pay range $45,000.00/yr - $50,000.00/yr Duties Serves as a Special Events Coordinator, responsible for planning and executing community special events that meet the needs and interests of the military/civilian population. Submits cost analyses of special events before and after each event, evaluates ongoing activities, and coordinates with Marketing/Commercial Sponsorship. Requires innovative approaches due to limited resources and diverse population interests. Performs supervisory duties such as planning work, setting priorities, preparing schedules, and training subordinates. Establishes and reviews performance standards and appraisals with team members. Requirements Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required. Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete employment verification (E-Verify). Must be able to lift and carry light to moderate items. Subject to pre-employment checks including a Tier 1 background investigation. Valid Driver's License required. Ability to work irregular shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Qualifications Applicants meeting both minimum and highly preferred criteria will be prioritized. Minimum Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. At least one year of experience coordinating and executing special events. Six months supervisory experience with a team. Exceptional communication and customer service skills. Physical ability to prepare for and oversee events, including lifting and carrying items. Highly Preferred Qualifications Related educational background (transcripts required). One year of experience programming and coordinating organizational events. Education No formal educational requirement; transcripts may be required if education is used to qualify. Pay Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position with possible Sunday premium pay and night differential, subject to authorization.
