About The Role We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to support AI development activities within the Lockheed Martin Software Factory. As a key technical contributor, you’ll play a hands-on role in building next-generation software solutions that integrate Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). This is a full-time remote position with periodic travel to Lockheed Martin sites. You will work on user-facing applications and backend services, develop reusable components for DevOps pipelines, and contribute to innovative projects like our flagship Visual Studio Code Extension. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced, experimental environments and is passionate about advancing AI-driven software development. Responsibilities Design and build full-stack applications using TypeScript, React, Bash, with opportunities in Python and Go Develop and enhance Visual Studio Code Extensions (preferred experience) Build AI-powered developer tools using OpenAI APIs and other LLM ecosystems Manage services on Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) with GitLab CI and ArgoCD Rapidly iterate and experiment to deliver features in a fast-evolving AI environment Participate in code reviews, system design, and DevOps best practices Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions Present technical concepts and project status to stakeholders Work effectively in both virtual and local team environments Skills And Qualifications Experience with TypeScript or strong proficiency in languages like Python, JavaScript, Java, or Kotlin Full Stack Development experience with DevOps methodologies CI/CD automation experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Concourse, etc.) Familiarity with Agile development practices Proven ability to develop and support interfaces, transformations, and full lifecycle implementations Strong team collaboration and customer service skills Preferred Skills Front-end development expertise Prior experience with Visual Studio Code Extension development Experience working with AI coding assistants or productivity tools Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and production-grade deployments Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to rapid change in the AI space Self-starter with strong communication skills Equal Opportunity Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer.
