Location :We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join the Sodexo Live! team at Hard Rock Stadium.

Hard Rock Stadium serves as the home venue for several sports teams and hosts a variety of events. It is the home of the Miami Dolphins NFL team. It is also the venue for major college football games, including the Orange Bowl and the University of Miami Hurricanes home games. The stadium is a prime location for large-scale events, including concerts by major artists, festivals, and other sporting events like motorsports, tennis, and more. The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 64,767 for football games and for concerts and other events, the capacity can reach up to 75,000.

Principal Function :

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring the availability, quality, and cost-effectiveness of all products needed to support food and beverage operations at Hard Rock Stadium. This role will oversee all purchasing-related activities, which may include receiving and inventory management. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with the culinary team, Warehouse Manager, and other departments to understand and anticipate all purchasing needs.

They will develop and maintain strong partnerships with vendors, evaluate and recommend new products to enhance standards and increase profitability, and ensure the timely fulfillment of operational product needs. The Purchasing Manager will make product decisions in compliance with Sodexo Live! standards, supporting a streamlined and responsive supply chain that aligns with expectations for accuracy, efficiency, quality, and financial performance.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Manage all food and beverage purchasing for Hard Rock Stadium.
• Collaborate with the culinary team and other departments to understand and anticipate purchasing needs.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to uphold inventory accuracy, optimize product storage conditions, and facilitate timely and efficient distribution.
• Make product decisions in compliance with Sodexo Live! standards and specifications.

Qualifications/Skills :

• Bachelor's degree and/or appropriate combination of education and experience to support on-the-job effectiveness.
• A minimum of 3 years of previous purchasing and/or warehouse management experience within a food and beverage operations environment.
• Strong working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and general workplace safety standards with knowledge of Health Department requirements.
• Demonstrated financial acumen; P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is highly desirable.
• Technologically savvy, with high proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.

Other Requirements :

• Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
