Location: Hybrid 3 days/week onsite in New York, NY 10019
Pay Rate: $88.88 per hour Pay rate is $88.886/hr. on W2 About the Role A leading investment firm is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join the Strategic Programs and Change Management team within its Private Markets division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery, governance, and reporting of one or more projects under the Private Horizon Data Layer Program, a multi-year strategic initiative.
This role requires extensive experience managing complex data initiativessuch as integration, governance, and reportingacross front-, middle-, and back-office systems. The Project Manager should have a strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and a deep understanding of key private markets data concepts.
Key Responsibilities: Project Management & Delivery: - Lead large, cross-functional projects with accountability for planning, budgeting, and delivery.
- Develop and manage project plans, dependencies, constraints, and resource allocations.
- Track key deliverables and outcomes using SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Define, monitor, and report on OKRs and KPIs at the program level.
- Organize governance meetings, executive steering committees, and tollgate reviews.
- Maintain centralized documentation, including change requests, project repositories, and status updates.
Stakeholder Management & Communication: - Act as the central point of contact for investment, operations, and technology teams.
- Lead stakeholder engagement efforts and ensure alignment across functions.
- Design and implement RACI and governance models across workstreams.
- Develop communication plans and lead project-related meetings and updates.
Strategic Leadership: - Translate strategic goals into actionable project plans and roadmaps.
- Drive data initiatives that improve transparency, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Lead change management efforts and contribute to process improvements across the organization.
Required Qualifications: - 810 years of project management experience within financial services or asset management.
- Strong background in data initiatives (integration, governance, reporting).
- Deep understanding of private markets concepts including fund structures, NAV, IRR, TVPI, capital calls, and investor reporting.
- Familiarity with alternative asset classes such as Real Estate, Private Equity, and Private Credit.
- Expertise in SDLC, including Agile frameworks.
- Experience at a Big Four consulting firm is a plus.
Skills & Competencies: - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for executive-level reporting.
- Strong project planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficient with JIRA and project tracking tools.
- Ability to work in a global, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Project Management certification preferred (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
