Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Responsible for designing and developing mechanical equipment and devices for precision optical systems.
  • Employing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to create designs and schematics
  • Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and machine shops to develop products and equipment that exceeds customers’ expectations.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers to complete jobs efficiently.
  • Create and/or participate in design reviews for external customers.
  • Assist the assembly, manufacturing, and test group in interpretation of produced designs, including troubleshooting and explaining of assembly processes.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of CREO required.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T required. 
  • Experience in Product Development preferred.
  • Experience with document release processes preferred
  • Good communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.

REQUIREMENTS (CONTINUED):

  • Understanding of good documentation practices (GDocP)
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Experience with microsoft office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • SAP experience a plus.
  • Experience with SolidWorks a plus.
