Donor Relations & Data Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Donor Relations & Data Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of our donor database and ensuring timely, accurate processing of all contributions. Salesforce experience is essential—ideally with certification and demonstrated fluency in nonprofit data structures. This role is ideal for someone who loves systems, values accuracy, and has the ability to spot trends and improve processes. Strong communication skills are a must, as this role occasionally involves direct interaction with donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and acknowledge all incoming donations using Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
  • Maintain donor records and ensure data cleanliness, consistency, and integrity
  • Analyze donation data to identify patterns, anomalies, or areas for process improvement
  • Follow established procedures while offering thoughtful input on how to enhance efficiency
  • Generate donation reports and support the development team with segmentation and list building
  • Communicate with donors via phone or email to confirm details or express gratitude
  • Collaborate with a small, supportive team and contribute to cross-functional projects

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working with Salesforce in a nonprofit setting (Salesforce certification highly preferred, Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) preferred)
  • Proven experience processing gifts, managing donor data, and working within a CRM system
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a knack for spotting errors or inconsistencies
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts simply
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable interacting with donors and maintaining professionalism at all times
