Position Type: Administration Date Posted: 6/10/2025 Location: CS Concept Schools Iowa Region Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience; elementary (K-5) experience preferred. Valid Professional Educator License (PEL); administrative licensure strongly preferred. Proven track record of using academic and behavioral data to differentiate instruction and support student learning. Demonstrated leadership in instructional coaching and curriculum development. Strong knowledge of the Danielson Framework, MTSS, SEL, and standards-aligned instruction. Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills; ability to lead and coach adult learners. Experience working across multiple school sites and collaborating with diverse school teams. Ability to travel regularly between HSA Davenport and HSA Des Moines Early Childhood Special Education Instructional Strategist I or II Effective leadership, supervisory, and coaching capabilities. Proficiency in curriculum alignment and instructional best practices. Knowledge of federal/state educational laws and accountability systems. Strong communication (oral and written) and record-keeping skills. Cultural competence and the ability to build rapport across school communities. Technological fluency (e.g., Schoology, data platforms, observation tools). Coordinate and oversee the academic program (K–5) across HSA Davenport and HSA Des Moines in alignment with Concept Schools’ standards. Collaborate with the Superintendent, principals, department heads, and CSAD Directors to ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment. Interpret and implement Concept’s Academic Excellence Framework with fidelity. Assist in school and district long-term instructional planning. Develop, update, and communicate curriculum maps and assessment tools that reflect state and Concept standards. Serve as a coach and mentor to K–5 teachers through co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, and feedback cycles. Guide teachers in using academic and behavioral data to inform and adjust instructional strategies. Conduct non-evaluative classroom observations and provide actionable feedback aligned with the Danielson Framework. Support professional goal setting and implementation of Personal Improvement Plans (PIPs). Lead analysis of student achievement and school-wide data to drive academic priorities. Create and manage data tracking systems and visualizations for school teams. Provide leadership in the development of District and School Improvement Plans. Monitor progress on instructional initiatives and teacher development. Coordinate and deliver job-embedded professional learning aligned with school improvement goals. Facilitate training on instructional best practices, curriculum tools, and data usage. Support implementation of Schoology and instructional technology integration. Partner with Concept Schools Academic Directors and Regional DTLs to lead regional PD sessions and institutes. Coordinate academic calendars, assessment schedules, and instructional events. Supervise and support MTSS, SEL, ESL, Special Education, and enrichment program implementation. Participate in board meetings, administrative meetings, and community events. This position combines strategic oversight of academic programs (DTL responsibilities) with hands-on instructional coaching focused on K-5 classrooms. The individual will lead implementation of the Concept Schools Academic Excellence Framework, support teacher development, coordinate curriculum, analyze data, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Qualifications and Education Requirements Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field.
